Pad printing

Pad printing is a printing process that can transfer an image from a pad onto a flat or concave plastic material.
Covering with an ink film both the cliché and the surface of the rubber or silicone pad, allows it to leave the etched image area in favour of adhering to the pad, and to subsequently release from the pad in favour of adhering to the surface.

The properties of the silicone pad enable it to pick up the image from a flat plane and transfer it to a variety of surfaces and materials:

  • Polypropylene
  • Polyethylene
  • Polyamides
  • ABS
  • Polycarbonate
