Agricultural Machinery Sector
After the success in 2015, AMA will be renewing its presence at the Nampo trade show from May 17th-20th in Bothaville. AMA is participating with the Italian cooperative organized by ICE in collaboration with FederUnacoma as part of the promotional activity aimed at the agricultural machinery sector.
Nampo is an international trade show about agriculture in South Africa; it is an ideal platform for networking with operators in the agricultural sector. AMA will debut its best components and equipment for soil work, PTO drive shafts, hydraulic cylinders and spare parts.
South Africa is an important gateway to African markets given its role as a commercial and regional logistics hub. For this reason, the goal of the participation with the cooperative is to promote a thorough knowledge of Italian technology by African operators in order to encourage a process of modernization, development and commercial integration.
South Africa’s territory is 4 times the size of Italy, of which, 69% consists of pastures, 10% national parks, and 7% of other conformations, including the desert. The actual cultivated area is around 15,000 km2 (1.5%). The presence of different climatic zones favors the production of a great variety of crops, despite the poor availability of water resources. Agriculture uses about 9% of the working population, and produces 8% of revenues derived from exporting products.
